If your office is located in place like MBP (Millennium Business Park…just another IT park), rummage around for homemade food is like looking for water in a desert.
But thanks to Prasad (my colleague), who is too a foody like me took me to this small down town mess which is slowly becoming a hit among the bachelors who are from Andhra or like the tasty Andhra food.
I with Parsad and one another colleague visited this place today for lunch at around 1pm.
We were lucky to get a place to sit as we arrived (these lunch houses at lunch time are like starvation zones).
Prasad order for Rice plate while myself and Abhishek (another colleague) went for Biriyani (single plate, obviously we shared). Rice and Biriyani are the two specialties served here, and to your surprise these are the only items on the menu.
A Rice plate is served for one and will cost you Rs. 50, but the serves are unlimited.
While Biriyani will cost you Rs. 75 (limited), easily can serve up two.
Rice plate comes with special rice-Papad, andra special groundnut Chatni and Dal (all this in the first serving).
In the second serve Sambar is add to your rice, while in our final serve you can even go for Rasam.
Biriyani was served with Raita and special Spice Curry.
Talking about the ambience, as I said it’s a small mess. So pls don’t except it to be a great place for family hangouts………Anyways, for lunch you won’t find such hygienic and home made food near MBP.
Also got to know that they have branches at Kooparkharanie & Ghansoli.
To call a halt, I will say this place is like a mothers kitchen to people who are away from home (especially Andhra).
Other Services:
They also provide accommodation in corporate guesthouses.

Koyla - "The Hyderabad House"
The idea of spending weekend at Pune was not too rousing in the beginning. But thanks to my very good friend Manish, for opening me to the happening treads in Pune city.
A late night drive to Korgaon Park was like entering the den of pubescent life of Bandra in Mumbai.
After watching “Jodha Akbar” the movie, eating at Koyla was an experience, as if we were on the movie sets.
We arrived Koyla, at around 10:45pm. But had to wait for our turn next 30mins. I was introduced to Koyla as a place where you can get Mughlai food in this case Hyderabadi.
The restaurant has place to serve around 29-30 people comfortable at a time. A comfortable sofa style sitting was provided at each table.
But the service was awful; we had to repeat the orders twice and make sure we get what we wanted. Also I suspect we were the last customer to be served for the day, orders were delivery to our table with such fleetness that we had our starters first and the soup next.
The real disappointment streaked when we were asked to place our final order for liquor around 12:00am and for food at around 12:30am.
On an average the meal cost for 2 should be around Rs.900
The good part happened when we left the restaurant, the doorkeeper offered us masala pan (obviously free).
