Urban Tadka - The Indian Bestro
One of its outlets is right next to our house. So we planned a dinner to this place with our family.
As it was a weekday, we thought that finding a place to settle should not be a challenge.
So we arrived there at around 9pm. And to all our surprise the joint was flooded with guests. Fortunately we got a nice setting to accommodate six of us.
The ambience of this place reminds me of having food at some Dhaba on National Highway. Contrast to its name “Urban Tadka”, they should start calling this place “Rural Tadka” by looking at its venue. Anyways it is great place with a difference.
We wanted to start with a soup, but I forgot they don’t serve Chinese food. Luckily they had Tomato ka Shorba (Tomato Soup), so we ordered one. While my cousin ordered for Paya ka Shorba (Paya Soup). Starters comprised of Hara Bhara Kabab, Seek Kabab and Koliwada Fish Fry (made using Ravas Fish). Koliwada Fish Fry was delicious and my mom loved it, hopefully she will start preparing it for us at home.
In main course we had both veg and non-veg dishes. In veg we had Tawey Ki Sabzi and Ambarsariya Chicken.
The deserts they server are bit different for one conventionally provided at other India Cuisines. They serve Gulab Jamun, Jalebi with Rabadi, Phirnee (Also known as Kheer made of Rice or Rice Pudding) etc. Me and my mom both are crazy both sweets, so how could we miss on this opportunity. I ordered Jalebi with Rabadi for myself while mom ordered for Phirnee. And I should say both were fabulous.
For a meal of two it should cost Rs. 500

Cascade - Around The World Cuisine
After watching the movie “U Me aur Hum”…It was left on me to decide the venue for dinner. And how could I miss this one, I promptly announced the name “Cascade”.
We arrived at this place say around 10:30pm; But I forgot it was Sunday......there was a long waiting queue.
But we were determined, that we will have dinner at this place only. So we waited for 45 minutes and finally our opening strike.
We were well place on the table, which was situated to the middle of the restaurant. They have a circle formation sitting for all the seats in the middle row. A semi-circle is made up of chairs while the other half is made of sofa.
To start with soup, couple ordered for Hot & Sour Chicken some ordered Hot & Sour Veg while others went for Cream of Mushroom. Then came the starters and I jumped to order my favorite Suzie Wong Chicken, you will not find it anywhere else (at least I haven’t.....if you are lucky please share it with me). While the veg starter was Hara Bhara Kabab. The veg-e friends ended their dinner with Green Chilli Panner and Butter Naan in main course, while myself and Manish (foody bhai) ordered for sizzlers. Manish ordered Chicken Fajitas while I went for Chicken Citadel sizzler.
Everyone loved the food and venue selection done by me.
On an average it will cost you Rs.700, for a meal of two.
They also have a lounge, where they have DJ arranged for the guests. I am not sure about other particulars since I just had a glimpse of the place.

Rasoi
If my memory is serving me well, Rasoi was the place where I tasted a non-veg dish for the first time (one not prepared by my mom).
After that I have been to this place for N number of times (exactly don’t remember how many times?). But in writing I am mentioning it for the first time. Whenever we want to have non-veg food or we are not in a mood of trying something new, this place is always our default preference.
To mention, I am sharing the experience I had on my recent visit. I was accompanied with my wife, which is true in most cases.
We order for Chicken Manchow Soup, which is the most preferred soup by both of us. We believe that if Manchow Soup is well prepared, then the restaurant is good enough to try for Chinese food. For starters we went for Chicken Salt & Pepper, which initially felt tasteless since prior we had Manchow Soup, but it carried well at the end. You will like it if you have a taste for Pepper. Main course was comprised of Butter Naan and Butter Chicken (My wife’s favorite main course item). To accompany all these we both had some Fresh Lime Soda too.
Total meal cost us Rs. 500.
With all my experiences at this place I give it a rating of SIX. It is a true Family Restaurant, at least for us.

Neelam’s Pride - Family Restaurant
After a long time I got to meet one of my good friend. We wanted to have lunch some place where we can sit and share our lost time. And the place settled for this occasion was Neelam’s Pride.
We arrived at this place at around 1:30 pm, hoping to find the place less busy. Which was not the case, at least not on the side where we were settled.
My friend ordered for Tomato Soup, which we shared. While I decided the starters, and as you know me by now I wouldn’t have settled for any thing less than non-veg, so I ordered Fish Fingers. Both to start with were pretty average for my taste.
So in pursue of having something better than average, I ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Butter Naan in main course. And I was desolated again, Chicken Tika Masala was away below my expectations. If you ask me I will give just 2 points on a scale of 1 to 10.
Total meal cost us Rs. 479.
Aside from food everything else was above average on that noon.

Royal Fantasy
As the name goes Royal Fantasy, we were given a royal sitting. We were three couples occupying two tables made to accommodate ten guests.
In soup I ordered for Hot and Sour Chicken, undoubtedly they serve one of the best I ever had. In starter we went for Fish Tikka and Chicken Kabab while the veg-e friends ordered for Paneer Chilly. Since no one was in a mood of full-meal, we ordered Dal Fry and Steamed Rice to call off the feast.
The quality of food served here is first-rated, but I was not swayed with the quantity of food.
For people who love watching sport (especially cricket in
Food for two should cost around Rs. 750
